Hi there and welcome to Yulbiz San Francisco!
First off, what is Yulbiz? It all started in Feb 06 in Montreal - Canada (which airport code is YUL) when Michelle Leblanc and Philippe Martin, 2 french-speaking bloggers and experts interested in everything online business (hence Biz), web 2.0 and willing to share experiences, decided to gather friends in a public place and talk about their passions. For the first event, 20 people came and spent a great moment together, drinking, sharing practices and ideas, exchanging business cards and building their professional network.
In January 09, San Francisco - California, the Internet Meccah, home of so many great companies and innovative services, will see the first american Yulbiz ever. Yulbiz SF will be the place for business bloggers interested in finance, new technologies, social web, openness, mobile and social change to come and share. A very informal gathering where everyone has something to explain and something to learn.
Attending a Yulbiz requires to follow somes “rules”:
- Bring your good mood with you.
- You are in charge of paying for your drinks and food. But feel free to buy drinks, it’s always good for starting discussions.
- There will be wifi so you can blog, tweet, update your Facebook status…
- Feel free to take pictures and videos during the event.
- Please use yulbizsf as a tag whenever you publish an item related to the event.
- Write your name and URL of your blog on the dedicated notebook. And don’t forget to answer the question of the month. All answers will be made available on the official Yulbiz SF blog (yes, this blog).
Yulbiz SF is going to be cool. Especially if YOU come and participate. Because Yulbiz will exist with YOU and for YOU.
